New Look!

I have been toying with the idea for some time of changing the look of my blog site.  Not that I didn't like the blogger template that I was using, I was just kind of bored with the layout.  I have been interested in the magazine style of blog, so I set out to find a new XML template that I could use.  After a few hours, I found this template, adjusted the code and updated accordingly.

Modern Style XML Template

Feedback that I have received so far has been positive; I like the new look and you know what, it was time for a change!

Looking forward to getting out on my bikes very soon!

EBR 1190RX First Ride

It is great to see the EBR1190RX being profiled in most major Motorcycle Magazines!  As those who read my blog know, I am a big fan of EBR and I am thrilled to see Erik Buell's dream continue to grow.

This is truly a David and Goliath story with EBR going up against the likes of Ducati, Aprilia, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki. etc...all manufacturers with deep pockets and resources.  Fortunately for EBR, Hero Motor Corporation has come on board with a major ownership share and financing; I believe this is the boost that EBR needed to move to the next level.  Hero is also a major sponsor for EBR Racing and running two bikes in the 2104 World Superbike Series-WSBK should give EBR an even higher profile!

The 1190RX is currently going through major production and from what I have read, models are starting to arrive at locations in their newly established dealer network.  The closest dealer to my geographic location is Derry Cycle in New Hampshire; this summer, I might have to make the 7 hour ride to go and see the EBR1190RX.

Over the past few months, the media in the motorcycle community has been given the opportunity to ride (AKA "First Rides") the 1190RX and provide reviews for the consumer market. The "First Ride" review from On Two Wheels - Motor Trend is pretty good.

I will continue to follow EBR and this new journey into the motorcycle world.  For those of us who are fans, thank you Erik Buell for continuing to follow your dream.  Here's hoping that someday that I will be in a position to upgrade from my Buell 1125R to an EBR1190RX!

Marquez wins again!

I just finished watching the MotoGP Race - Circuit of Americas on TV and this Marquez kid continues to impress!  He completely dominated this race for his second win of the season!  There seems to be no stopping this guy! It's going to fun following the rest of the 2014 MotoGP season!

2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS

As mentioned in my previous post, I was rather disappointed that Kawasaki was not represented at the 2014 Moncton Motorcycle Show.  One of the bikes that I was really looking forward to seeing was the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS with the Sport Touring Package.

If I was considering replacing my 1125R, this bike would deserve some serious thought.  I like the look, the features of traction control, ABS, multiple power modes and a rocking 1043cc fuel injected engine.  The Sport Touring package with the 3-way adjustable windscreen, removable 28L saddlebags, higher handle bars and an easily adjustable suspension offers the best of both worlds; a fully fledged Sport Bike and a Sport Tourer that you can ride two-up on!

I have watched several reviews of the 2014 Ninja 1000 ABS and the one from MotoGeo sums it up nicely!

The MSRP for the 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS is $11,999.00 US or $13,999.00 CDN.  I think I might have to visit the local Kawasaki dealer to take a closer look at the 2014 Ninja 1000!

I sure hope winter ends soon, cause I am itching to ride!
