This year's show, like the past three years seemed to be scaled back. It was noticeable that BMW Motorrad Canada did not have a factory presence at the show; that is one display that I missed. There were half a dozen or so new BMWs from the local dealer, but it was just not the same as the the BMW Motorrad display from past years! The same applies to Kawasaki Canada, only a dealer presence; I was really hoping to get a look at 2016 Ninja H2R and the ZX-10R! Nothing from Suzuki Canada either, this leaves me wondering if the manufacturers above participated in the larger venue shows in Montreal and Toronto, I suspect that they did. That being said, Honda, Harley Davidson, Ducati, and Yamaha had factory representation with Triumph following close behind; local dealers represented Kawasaki, Victory, Indian, BMW and KTM.
Part of the fun of going to the Moncton Motorcycle Show is picking my top 5 motorcycles of the show. So, like past years (and blog posts), here are my top 5 picks from the 2016 Moncton Motorcycle show!
#1 - 2016 Triumph Thruxton R
#2 - 2016 Ducati Monster 1200R
#3 - 2016 Harley Davidson Softail Slim S
#4 - 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special (w/full accessories)
#5 - Ducati X Diavel S
My friend Luc took a liking to the Harley Davidson Street Glide Special (I will bring him to the dark-side yet) and the Ducati X Diavel S as they were his #1 & #2 choices of the show. Other motorcycles that grabbed my attention included the 2016 Indian Scout, 2016 Yamaha MT-10 (will be released in North America as the FZ-10), 2016 Ducati Panigale 1299S, 2016 Harley Davidson Seventy-Two and the 2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin.

Zal also took a liking to the Triumph Thruxton and the Yamaha MT-10 and I think deep down, he likes the Harley Davidson line up too. He spent a lot of time looking over the 2016 Harley Davidson Road Glide!
I had a great day with friends at the Moncton Motorcycle Show and it was a good way to spend a cold Winter's day...looking at and talking about motorcycles! Now, I anxiously wait for the next 10 weeks to pass and for the 2016 Motorcycle season to begin!
